Testing & Validation

Our in-house testing laboratory performs the full spectrum of IEC, BS, and regional compliance testing — equipped with state-of-the-art instruments and staffed by qualified engineers.

Make-and-Break Test

In accordance with IEC standard, switches shall be operated 200 strokes at 1.1 times rated voltage and 1.25 times rated current; sockets shall be subjected to 100 strokes at 1.1 times rated voltage and 1.25 times rated current.

Endurance Test

In accordance with IEC standards, switches shall be operated 40, 000 strokes at rated voltage and rated current; sockets shall be subjected to 10, 000 strokes at rated voltage and rated current.

Temperature-rise Test

In accordance with IEC standards, the temperature rise of switches and sockets shall not exceed 45 K.

Glow-wire Test

For switches and sockets, the insulating material used to retain live parts shall extinguish any flame within 30 seconds when exposed to a glow wire temperature of 850 °C.

Electric Strength Test

An AC voltage of 2000 V shall be applied between poles, and between pole and enclosure of switches and sockets. No breakdown or flash over shall occur.

Insulation Resistance Test

When tested with a DC voltage of 500 V between poles, and between pole and enclosure of switches and sockets, the insulation resistance shall be ≥ 5 MΩ.
